Oblong Box - 13th Floor 3" CDr / Digital Download

Drawing as much from the history of 20th century minimalism as from the atmosphere of classic, 60's horror cinema, Oblong Box sculpts eerie, sonic landscapes that will gently prod and bend your psyche."13th Floor" is a delicate and haunting soundtrack; rich in sonic color, unspoken narrative and subtle texture. Oblong Box is Bill Henson, who runs Housepig Records and is one-half of the Minneapolis duo, Juhyo.

This limited release for PG is a one time pressing of 100 sale copies, 10 promotional copies.

"9/10... 13th Floor definitely makes the most of the three-inch CDR format by packing lots of great sounds into a cohesive EP. Whether as a dark mood piece or as a collection of great drone pieces, "13th Floor" is solid from start to finish. " - Foxy Digitalis
"4/5... A wonderful morbid sonic morsel of a release which really manages to imbed a wonderful macabre, uneasy yet highly enoyble air in ones mind." - Musique Machine
"The drone action is sparse and intense, black in tone and stealthy in the manner by which it penetrates your psyche. The sweeping curtain of drone is augmented by sinister noises and billowing sheets of sound almost symphonic in nature on the disc's centerpiece, "The Room on the 13th Floor." It's impressive, evocative stuff, and a compelling argument for the idea that where music rooted in soundtracks is concerned, less is definitely more." - Dead Angel
"All the images in my mind spring to life... The exceptional voices and the production is stunning. The simplicity and yet the complexity marvels me, and I close my eyes to fully experience this horror story being revealed before me. Bill Henson is in my mind creating paintings." - Heathen Harvest
